California Avocado Commission
Based in Irvine, California, the California Avocado Commission was created in 1978 to develop markets for and increase consumption of California Avocados on behalf of the state's 6,000 Avocado growers. The California Avocado Commission serves as the official information source for California Avocados and the California Avocado industry.
Hass Avocado Board
The Hass Avocado Board (HAB) was established in 2002, after approval by producers and importers of Hass Avocados in a national referendum. A 12-member board administers the program under USDA supervision. Nearly 20,000 producers and 100 importers—from California, Chile, Mexico, New Zealand and the Dominican Republic—are involved in HAB, which covers fresh domestic and imported Hass Avocados sold in the U.S. market.
National Youth Sports
National Youth Sports (NYS) offers many different programs for young children in various areas of the country. Each program, centered on sportsmanship and emphasizing fun and fair play, aims to strengthen participating individuals, their families and their communities, through the experience of youth sports.
