I just recently received a shipment from Paradise Grove Avocados. What a wonderful treat! My kids aren’t huge fans of avocados but I am. So, that just leaves more for me. That doesn’t happen often. I received a box stuffed full of avocados. All wrapped in soft packaging to keep them from bruising. I put them in my windowsill for a few days and they were soft and ripe enough to enjoy. Paradise Grove Avocados are generous in size and have a thick skin to help prevent bruising.
These are Paradise Grove California Hass avocados. Each an average of 8 oz.
Look at the size of these beauties. I’m now wanting to plant an avocado tree in my backyard. These were consumed fast.
I love how much can be done with avocados. When I was little a neighbor taught me to cut one in half, remove the seed and in the ‘bowl’ of the fruit to put some vinegar. We would eat an avocado like that, with nothing else. Now I enjoy avocados in my salad, on a sandwich, with eggs, or to make guacamole with some tortilla chips
My friend came over and we used her “play it by ear’ recipe to make this delicious guacamole. It was consumed in no time. The freshness of the avocados was evident.

“I could eat these things for every meal! As a matter of fact I almost do. I have slacked off a little in recent past because my grocery stores avocados haven’t been as good as they should be. I don’t know what they do with them or where they come from for that matter but they are never consistently good.
Which brings me to one thing I love about Paradise Grove Avocados, I know where they are coming from and how they are grown.”
“I was surprised at how well the paper bag method worked to ripen these up. It was only the very next day and they were ready to eat. So of course I had to cut one up right away and munch away! I made a Turkey Sammy with avocado. Simple but so delish!”

Paradise Grove Avocados sent me a 6 pound box of their Avocado’s to review with you all and they were delicious! A six pound box only costs $23.95 and shipping is free. Six pounds comes to about 12 Avocados and I am sure you are thinking, but “I can get 12 for $1.50 each at the store”. Well I love avocado’s, but it seems every time I get a couple from the store they go bad either over night or they go bad two days later. A lot of times I even open them right when they look ready and they taste awful.
All 10 avocado’s I was sent tasted delish! They were sent super green and had a lot of time to ripen. I left four on the counter to ripen and 6 I put in the fridge. I have been able to make a few recipes with them. The first thing I made was Avocado Salsa Verde. It was one avocado and 1/2 cup of Salsa Verde. Then I just mixed it with a whisk and it was so yummy.

When a huge box of Avocados arrived from Paradise Grove, I started looking back through the recipes I had shared on the blog to see what in the world I could make again. The only one in my family that would even consider eating avocados is me, so I had to find ways to hide them in the food or just plain decide I was going to chomp down on those delicious foods!
Avocados are great to use for any gathering because they pair wonderfully as appetizer, dip, or toppings for favorite sports foods. In fact, with March Madness right around the corner, I am going to be sure to have some recipes ready for the big game time!
- Avocado Creamy Dressing: This is a delicious twist to regular dressing and goes great on a salad, or you can use it to top your favorite Mexican Dish.
I love avocados. They are so delicious and good for you, too! Avocados have been called one of the world’s healthiest foods because they provide fiber, potassium, folic acid, B vitamins, Vitamin E, and also help the body absorb other nutrients more easily. The fat in avocados is the “good fat” and they’re just good for you!
I started making this crock pot Pepperocini Beef recipe a few years ago, when I saw the simplicity of it… The Paradise Grove Avocados are a perfect addition to this sandwich because their Has avocados are rich and buttery and simply the best avocados I’ve ever eaten. I also love to just eat sliced avocados with a sprinkling of sea salt, or mashed with some pico de gallo to make a delicious guacamole. The ways to eat Paradise Grove Avocados are really endless, however, as you will find on the recipe section of their website. Salads, soups, entrees, breakfasts, beverages, and even desserts are deliciously made with avocados from Paradise Grove…

Brandy Nelson, Newly Crunchy Mama of Three blogger, took time out of her crazy, kid-filled life to tell the world how much she adores Paradise Grove Avocados. Even better, she made a great Holiday Side Salad recipe using our avocados and unselfishly decided to share it…
